The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with dozens of characters with complex backgrounds and stories, but not every character or their screen time are created equal. Over the last 10 plus years, characters like Tony Stark, Black Widow, Nebula and Drax have either been featured a lot or not much at all, but what differentiates each character isn’t the screen time they have, but how Marvel developed and wrapped up each of their stories. For example, Black Widow has been in the MCU almost since the beginning and her arc wasn’t the best, but some characters with shorter screen time ended up being better. Thor has three of his own movies, like Iron Man, but may not have been developed as fully. You’ll have to watch to find out, but we think you’ll be surprised, but not alarmed.

Each character on this list does share one thing in common, though. Each of their stories and progressions HAVE been fleshed out or introduced. We’re only including main characters that’re featured prominently in the MCU and no secondary characters are included. Except for one. That one hero on our list had infinite potential, but was quickly cut short for one reason or another and wasn't able to live up to their potential. Ten years of Marvel have built up these characters and we’re going to let you in on the best and worst MCU transformations, so sit back, relax and enjoy the adventure.
