Everyone knows that the Infinity Stones have been a huge part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years, but now it seems as though the Mad Titan Thanos has destroyed them for good. Yet, we’re still plagued with questions about these powerful items even after Avengers: Endgame ended. If Tony Stark could so easily create a new Infinity Gauntlet, then why did Thanos go through all of the trouble of wiping out the dwarves?

We’ll also take a closer look at the Soul Stone in particular since it’s by far the one we know the least about. How in the world did Gamora find out it was being held on Vormir? How did it get there and why was Red Skull of all people chosen to guard it? And, perhaps most pertinent of all, what is this object actually capable of when properly utilized? Natasha Romanoff lost her life for it, yet we know relatively little about it.

It certainly seems as though we’ll be saying goodbye to these Marvel MacGuffins, at least for the time being. As we get ready for Phase Four, we can’t help but cling to these unanswered questions and hope that, someday, we’ll be able to make sense of them.
