Pokemon has had an incredible ride for the last 20 years or so. It quickly became one of the most popular media franchises in the world with its own video games, anime and manga, but it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. There’ve been some last minute decisions that hurt Pokemon and there’ve also been plenty of decisions that saved it as well so, today, we’re going to take a look at both sides of the story.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of unused Generation 2 Pokemon designs that were scrapped from the game at the last second, but luckily, these designs inspired some new Pokemon in the series later on.
