Most Marvel movie fans have been operating under the assumption that Avengers: Endgame will be the first time we see Captain Marvel face off against Thanos, but did her rebellion against the Kree lead her to forging a powerful ally in the Nova Empire? If so, it’s possible Captain Marvel and Thanos have clashed before, possibly during his pursuit of the Power Stone or due to her connection to the Space Stone. Not only would this add additional depth to her appearance in Endgame, but it could possibly set up the connection between Nova Corps soldier Rhomann Dey and Richard Rider, better known as the superhero Nova.
