Moments in the MCU That Were Thinkers
Superhero movies are known for one thing, really, people with superpowers in cool costumes beating up other people in cool costumes with superpowers. There are variations on the theme, though. Maybe they don’t have the spectacular costume, but they have a cool set of powers or they lack powers, but have a nifty set of gadgets. Either way, there’s more to the superhero than the superpowers and the set pieces.
At their core, superhero stories are a variation on science fiction or speculative fiction which hold a magnifying glass to some aspect of society or the human condition by using altered realities to make a point. Marvel comics made its name in the Silver Age by bringing real world day to day problems to comic book characters and the MCU has followed that tradition. Here are some of the best examples of that.
