There’s a truism in comics, a hero is only as good as their villains. There’s no one great secret to a great villain. Some hold up a mirror to their rival, some are meant as a challenge to their power. Some are just a vessel for chaos in the otherwise ordered world of the hero. However they go about it, you know it’s done right when at least part of you ends up rooting for the villain at some point.
