Back when Goku was still known as Kakarot, his parents Bardock and Gine were happily living on Planet Vegeta, but as we all know, that planet didn’t exactly have a happy ending. We know Bardock helped get his son to safety so he could go on to save the Earth, but what was life like for Goku’s father before that point?

Today we’re going to be talking about the backstory of Bardock, particularly his character as reflected in “Dragon Ball Minus.” After all, it seems this will become canon upon the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly and we can’t wait to learn more about this famous Saiyan.
