In the cinematic sphere, Spider-Man is new to a lot of people. In addition, fans of the film only know young Peter of Queens, New York as a good guy. He pitched in to help Iron Man’s team. He tracked down and risked his life to fight The Vulture even if it meant losing the girl he liked. For comic book fans, Spider-Man has been around for decades. Readers also know there is a darker side to this Avenger.
It is true that Spider-Man tries to live by Uncle Ben’s words that with great power comes great responsibility. However, Peter doesn’t always listen. In this moments, he veers off the superhero track and onto the super villain track. This may shock MCU fans to hear.
It is hard to hear about Peter Parker being responsible for the death of Gwen Stacy. His choices directly resulted in the loss of her life.
He even allowed his relationship with Mary Jane to taken away by the demon Mephisto. Who would have thought Peter would make a literal pact with the devil? When you realize he backed the wrong side in Civil War and brought the alien symbiote Venom to Earth, maybe you’d think again.
Spider-Man has killed. He became an assassin. He even almost started a war.
We know how shocking all this sounds. So take a deep breath and jump into the video so you can get the scoop on all the time Spider-Man went villain instead of superhero.
