Some of the greatest parts of fandom are fan theories. Discussing and theorizing on “what it all means, man” is endless fun for die-hard fans of any series, and Game of Thrones more than most. In the most politically-intrigue-charged fantasy series of all time, there are a few theories that just make too much sense. It’s no surprise that fans come up with these theories, given how little we actually know about the world Game of Thrones takes place in. Fans have spent hours analyzing every word of the books and the show, going frame by frame in search of hints of what’s next.

And the theories themselves range from completely plausible to flights of fancy. Is Tyrion Lannister really a Lannister? Is Game of Thrones nothing more than a story within a story?
