What Happened During The Great Mandalorian Purge?

The event of the Mandalorian Great Purge keeps being mentioned in The Mandalorian, but too little is still known about what actually went down on planet Mandalore at the time. What we know for sure is that there is more than The Tribe, or what’s left of it anyways, that survived the Galactic Empire’s massacre.
Of course a chain of events led to that fateful day when Old Republic clones went ballistic, and tried to kill everyone. The event seems to be intricately tied to Order 66, also known as the Jedi Purge. What do the Mandalorians and the Jedi have in common with each other? While Din Djarin found it peculiar, yet interesting, to suggest an alliance with Jedi Ahsoka Tano, this was not her first time teaming up with Mandalorians. She indeed fought side by side with Bo-Katan Kryze and her Nite Owls to overthrow Darth Maul’s grip on planet Mandalore.
To understand what went down let me take you back in the past to the Siege of Mandalore, which took place sometime towards the end of the Clone Wars. During the siege, the Old Republic (and the Jedi Order) teamed up with the Mandalorian Resistance to fight the Shadow Collective, a group of criminals led by Darth Maul and Pre Vizsla.
In this video, I will first go over the hints we find in The Mandalorian about the Great Mandalorian Purge, to move back to the Siege of Mandalorian, Sabine Wren’s creation of the Arc Pulse Generator, and how this all led to the Purge.
