Millennium Falcon VS Slave 1: Which Is The Better Ship?
Subscribe: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR
There are a lot of sweet ships in the Star Wars universe. There’s a whole alphabet of wings filling the Rebel Alliance fleet, the simple A Wing to the iconic X-Wing along with the panel sided Twin Ion Engine fighters of the Empire. There are two ships, though, that are as unique and cool as the scoundrels that fly them, and those are the Millennium Falcon of smuggler Han Solo and Slave 1, the man ride of father and son Jango and Boba Fett. One is a menacing gunship whose arrival signals your time is up if there’s a bounty on your head and the other is a shambling wreck that hides a beefy set of engines and a tricked out ships computer. One started life fending off pirates and shuttling prisoners and the other pushing around containers. But from humble beginnings have come bestial rides, and the Millennium Falcon has been tuned, beaten, and rebuilt as outer space’s biggest hot rod. Can making the Kessell Run in 12 parsecs make up for the fidgety bits that are bound to break on the ship? Does the Slave 1’s massive firepower really matter when the Falcon seems to be able to take a licking and keep on ticking? Let’s look at how each of these beasts came to be and what advantage they might have and see if we even can come up with a decisive winner in the contest of ‘what’s the best ship in the galaxy’.
