A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, there were two pilots. Both regarded as one of the best, which begs the question. Who is truly better? Lord Vader himself facing off against his future Son-In-Law for the title of the best pilot in the galaxy. Before we can make a decision, we have to face the facts.
Han has a reputation to uphold, one of the best smugglers out there, he is as fast as he is brash. His ship does some of the heavy lifting in that respect, but his skill when taking on tough routes like the Kessel Run is not to be underestimated.
Anakin Skywalker was a prodigy in piloting from the start. Not every kid gets to be in their first aerial battle before the age of ten. His Pod-Racing won him his freedom and his skills continued to develop in the coming Clone Wars and beyond, both as a Padawan and a Jedi Knight. Even after his fall to the dark side, Vader kept on flying. Getting behind the wheel of a TIE fighter wasn’t something the Sith Lord would shy away from.
