Every superhero has their signature item, even if their power comes from within them. Thor has his hammer, Spider-Man has his webshooters, Batman his everything. Wonder Woman has a few key items that we always associate with the princess from Themyscira. Absolutely vital, she has to have her Lasso of Truth. The Bracelets of Submission are necessary for all that bullet deflecting. Finally, the Golden Tiara both signifies her as a princess and serves as a handy boomerang to take things out from a distance when needed. It was a long road to get the first lady of the DC Comics to the screen and in that time the woman of wonder has collected a few more toys along the way. With director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot deciding to forgo the sword and shield of her previous three appearances they have instead added some of Wonder Woman’s other toys to fill in the gap. Some things have been confirmed in promotional footage, like flinging the Golden Tiara or posing in the magnificent Golden Eagle Armor, and some have been more hinted at and fueled by more than a little wishful thinking, like Wonder Woman’s invisible jet or the crime solving IRAC AI from the tv series. With all this new gear it might be good to look into the archive and see what we can expect from the gear Wonder Woman has pulled out of storage for her adventures in the age of conspicuous consumption called the 1980s.
