MCU: The Grim Reaper Is Hiding In WandaVision
Subscribe: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR
Saying WandaVision is an interesting show is a bit of an understatement. It’s pretty much a sitcom inside of a sci-fi superhero show, which is something that has never happened before. It’s not really your typical sitcom either. Sure, there’s a bunch of innocent jokes and classic miscommunication storylines, but it’s still a mutant and a dead android somehow living together in the suburban town of Westview. That juxtaposition makes it so interesting.
Episode 2 really spiced things up, especially with its intro. To fit the ‘60s theme, WandaVision hit us with a Bewitched-style intro that was just full of Easter eggs, but one really stood out to me. In a blink and you’ll miss it moment, Vision phases through the floor between the bathroom and the living room where we see a helmet that looks very familiar. It looks a lot like the Grim Reaper’s helmet from Marvel comics. We also see an ad for Wonder Oats in the scene where Wanda is standing in the supermarket aisle with Geraldine, which means we may also be seeing Wonder Man in WandaVision. If you didn’t know, the Grim Reaper and Wonder Man are brothers in the comics, so both of them making their debut at the same time makes perfect sense.
There’s more to this Grim Reaper theory than just that so enjoy the video, let me know if you think the Williams brothers will make their MCU debut in WandaVision in the comments section below and don’t forget to subscribe to CBR for more MCU content.
