WandaVision has managed to consistently raise two new questions for every one question it answers and trying to figure out just what is going on has been half the fun of the show. Central to the mystery that’s’ driving the show is the nature of Vision himself. That’s because Vision’s death, resurrection, and redeath was one of the key moments of Avengers: Infinity War. There was gone and kinda gone, and Vision was definitely in the gone gone category. Sure, there is no real dead in comics except for Uncle Ben, but some deaths have to take. Vision not only died, but the source of the unique lifeforce that Vision had in the Mind Stone was destroyed. But then, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is learning something the Marvel Universe has known and had to deal with for a while, Wanda Maximoff is really, really powerful. Powerful in ways that even Wanda is just starting to discover. Westview is not an illusion, it’s a rewriting of reality at its base level. Vision isn’t just an illusion hung over the corpse of her dead husband synthezoid. When Vision tried to escape the anomaly he was still Vision even when it tried to claw him back. The illusion of life didn’t leave him, the act of pulling him back managed to start to kill him a third time. So, is Vision alive? Yes? No? Maybe? I don’t know. Can you repeat the question?
