Like John Walker said in this week’s episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, what’s with all the knives? But while the Flag Smahers were impressively talented at knife throwing, what shocked me the most, and I’m sure you all agree, is the way the new Captain America dealt with one of Karli’s allies. Boy, that was brutal. The new Cap America ladies, gentlemen, and gentlepeople. While Zemo has stolen the spotlight since episode 3, and keeps doing so with the newly released Zemo cut, Captain America just seems to have been confirmed as the true villain of the show.
The series fourth episode entitled “The Whole World is Watching,” finally revealed John Walker A.K.A. Captain America’s true face to the world. But it also showed differences in how justice is perceived from Sam Wilson’s, Bucky Barnes’, the Flag Smashers’ and the Dora Milaje’s divergent points of view, while Zumo was just partying in the background handing out candies as if it was Halloween. Turkish delight! Walker who was also known as Super-Patriot, and now U.S. Agent in the Marvel comic books, has always been against Captain America. Not necessarily because he was against what the shield represents, but because he wanted the whole glory to himself. A highly jealous soldier is a dangerous soldier. While the new Captain America wants a medal for fighting the good fight, he acts more like a villain than anything else.
In today’s video I’ll dive into Walker’s backstory, and discuss what’s coming for the dark Captain America.
