In Wandavision, we saw first hand what Wanda Maximoff can do with her reality bending abilities. From brainwashing innocent people to constantly changing the era they live in, Wanda was a villain in the making. However, we’ve seen her do much worse. In the comic story House of M Wanda doesn't just affect a small town in New Jersey -- she affected the entire world. You see, in this storyline Wanda lost control of her abilities and had an ensuing mental breakdown which took the lives of Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Vision. On top of that, she’s only become worse. In her current state, one wrong move could equal the destruction of the entire world so now The Avengers and X-Men have a choice. Leave Wanda and trust that Professor X and Doctor Strange can find a solution, or put Wanda to rest? Rather than allow The Avengers to take action, Wanda does by creating an entire new reality. One where Mutants rule the world.
