Captain America can and will cross that line. Steve Rogers is an Avenger that would do anything for his Uncle Sam, including using that Vibranium shield to maim and mangle enemies of democracy. The red in his suit matches the red in his ledger as America’s Golden Boy/Brunette has put his share of enemy combatants in the dirt, and we’re here with a body count that’s make The Punisher proud. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s brother in arms isn’t as squeaky clean as his public service announcements suggests.
Being a hero comes with risk and a heavy cost. Sometimes it’s the ultimate price: life. The Avengers are not above breaking the 5th commandment for their causes. Cap’s done a lot of good, but we know that even though he doesn’t like guns, he sure doesn’t seem to mind using them if the cause is just.
The beloved Steve Rogers is a warrior, and warriors don’t just punch and kick until an invisible referee says enough - they go way past the bell until the enemy is gone forever. Captain America was created out of necessity to defeat HYDRA and The Red Skull. He’s made angels out of many men, and we’ve found many stories to show you, the people, that before you judge Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s John Walker’s actions, take a look at Cap’s history to see if maybe he’s got just as much blood on his shield.
