Everyone knows that the superhero suit is what makes a superhero memorable. It doesn’t matter if you’re the most powerful being in the universe; if you don’t look cool, then what’s the point! And our favorite hero and the overall face of the MCU, meaning the genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist, has certainly learned how to look cool over the years. What started with a simple and crude design in a cave in order to escape bad guys, soon morphed into one of the most powerful superhero suits in existence. And here’s the great thing about the Iron Avenger’s suits: they always learned from past mistakes!
Every time our favorite hero suffered a setback, usually that meant that by the next movie, that problem was fixed completely. Look at how Rhodey was shot down in Captain America: Civil War by Vision. And then in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony made sure that Peter Parker’s new suit came with a built in parachute. Think of the time when Tony traveled through the portal at the end of the first Avengers’ movie to hand deliver a missile. His suit malfunctioned because there was a lack of oxygen, but then later suits made it possible to breathe in space. Or look at the third movie in Tony’s franchise where he was trapped in a snowy environment. He made sure later suits had a heater installed to fight the cold. He was always a hero that was growing and adapting and it made for some exciting developments.
So go ahead and check out today’s video all about the failures that led to awesome upgrades in this particular superhero suit.
