The DCU is out in full force! After an agonizing wait, James Gunn finally took the time to introduce the first stage of DC’s long term plans, with the new CEO and Chairman announcing Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, which promises to lay the foundation for the DCU long-term. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a DC fan! Although there are STILL some who are convinced they should restore the Snyderverse, this new direction is definitely the better way for DC to move forward and shake off all the baggage that came before. But just because they’ve announced a lot of projects in this upcoming first chapter, it doesn’t automatically mean it’s going to be successful. That’s why today, I wanted to lay out how exactly the DCU can set up their projects for future success!

I’ll be discussing a few different key points that the DCU should take into consideration. This includes talking about living in the MCU’s shadow and how that isn’t necessarily a bad thing at first. I mean, the MCU was successful for a reason, and it's a formula that can be replicated and improved upon in the DCU. I’ll talk about the embracing of different Elseworlds projects and how that will be vital in keeping the DCU afloat over the years, and I’ll of course mention how the main continuity of heroes should interact with a few of the weirder and wilder characters over the next few projects!

So join me as I discuss all things DCU! After you’re done, be sure to hit that big like and subscribe button and don’t forget to leave a comment telling us what you think! Thanks for watching CBR! Let’s get started!
