Gimli might be one of those characters who doesn’t get a whole lot of attention, but there is one real moment in The Fellowship of the Ring that tells us a bit about Gimli’s past. Strangely, through the story where his once-flourishing Dwarven realm was overrun and destroyed by Orcs, Gimli had no idea of Balin's, and Moria's fates. So what happened here?
