Is Chopper a War Criminal? A Very Serious Investigation

When Star Wars: Ahsoka launched on Disney Plus, it harkened the return of a fan-favorite animated character getting a real shot in live-action. And yeah, Ahsoka Tano is cool and everything but we’re really talking about C1-10P, Chopper, the unhinged astromech droid of The Ghost crew from Star Wars: Rebels. This cantankerous little droid has an unbelievable kill count, but does this mean Chopper is a war criminal like the Star Wars memes suggest he is? IGN takes a look at his kill count and how it stacks up with some of the most prolific killers in all of Star Wars (like Luke Skywalker).

Chopper is one a long line of killer droids in Star Wars, or at least droids who don’t hesitate when it comes to death and destruction. But how does Chopper Star Wars’ kill count compare to killers like Luke Skywalker, Nien Numb and Lando Calrissian, Grand Admiral Tarkin and General Hux? We’ll break it down and try and figure out if Chopper needs to answer to a New Republic tribunal or something. In any case, let’s take a look at his history in Star Wars: Rebels and try to determine if googling Chopper war criminal really makes sense.
