Silent Hill f launches you into 1960s Japan - specifically the fog-enshrouded town of Ebisugaoka - where high schooler Hinako Shimizu must solve eerie puzzles and battle grotesque monsters to survive. Developed by NeoBards and written by visual-novel legend Ryukishi07, the story promises unsettling psychological horror steeped in Japanese folklore, enhanced by haunting music from Akira Yamaoka. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game weaves atmospheric visuals and intricate design to reveal “beauty within terror” in a new setting that breaks away from Silent Hill’s traditional US roots. Steam recently rated Silent Hill f as playable on Steam Deck - though you’ll need to tweak settings and font size for optimal performance. Slated for release on Sept 24, 2025 (with early access starting Sept 22), the title is already available for pre-order with bonuses like early access, collectibles, and exclusive costumes.
