In the first ten episodes of Power Rangers Mighty Morphin, five teenagers—Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Trini, and Billy—are chosen by Zordon to protect Earth from Rita Repulsa and her monsters. As they learn to work together and harness their powers, they face increasingly dangerous threats, including Goldar, King Sphinx, and Scorpina. Tommy, initially under Rita’s control, joins the team as the Green Ranger but begins losing his powers due to Rita's magic. The Rangers grow stronger through their battles, learning the value of teamwork, friendship, and responsibility as they fight to protect the world.
