Patricija Crnkovič will represent Slovenia in Eurovision Young Dancers 2017.
Patricija Crnkovič was born on 11th August 1997. She is from Slovenia but currently studies in Rotterdam, The Netherlands – at Codarts University of Arts. She has finished primary school Toma Brejca in Kamnik and Bežigrad Grammar School and alongside the Conservatory for Music and Ballet Ljubljana.
She has been dancing for almost 13 years now. Patricija started in different studios, but settled down in the Dance Club Kazina Ljubljana, where she have been dancing various styles but mostly contemporary and jazz. In 2008 she started ballet at the Conservatory for Music and Ballet LJ and after 5 years on lower school she was accepted on a higher level where she finished ballet. Besides, having daily classes of ballet, she also had studies subjects such as contemporary, character dances, history of dance and piano lessons in first and second year.
Patricija danced in a co-production of Ljubljana’s Opera House and Cankar Hall, in the opera Otello and she worked with Youth Slovenian Ballet (MSB) on different shows. Since 2006 she has been competing in the International Dance Organization (IDO) on National, European and World Championships in jazz, modern and show dance in different disciplines such as solo, duo, small group and formation. These 10 years of competing gave her countless experiences with dancing on stage and quite a few titles. She is most proud of the title of World Champion in the show dance solo and jazz solo in 2014. From the last few years she is most proud of a gold medal from the European Championships in 2015 and 2016, among many other gold, silver and bronze medals she has received over the years.
