Khalid, Normani - "Love Lies" Footnotes

Normani had a nice little cameo in Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” video, but the R&B sensation and the Fifth Harmony singer take their working relationship to the next level in “Love Lies.” The track is part of the ‘Love, Simon’ film, and the video features Normani dancing provocatively in the window of a hotel while Khalid watches from the street below. Directors Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz were inspired by the voyeurism in the movie, ‘9 1/2 Weeks.’ “We’re living in this era of drawn-out flirtation through social media and texting,” says Renz, “and we were excited to create this feeling of mystery, of not being able to have the object of your affection.” Watch ‘Footnotes’ to get all the deets on the shoot.
