Pre-order your copy of the new album 'Invisible People' on vinyl!! qrates.com/projects/20880
Pre order ends Oct 31st!
Hey there. This song was inspired by awkward moments (several awkward moments, actually). I don't know about you, but I constantly say stupid things when I'm with groups of people, and then I replay that moment over and over. The actress and author, Carol Matthau once wrote, "the dying process begins the minute we are born, but it accelerates during dinner parties." Maybe you have to be an introvert to identify with that feeling...but it sure feels true to me :)

LYRICS
Sounds so familiar
I guess I didn’t check the facts I
Could’ve been clearer
I made a joke and no one laughed
Wish I could take it back now
More than you know
Why did I stutter
You must think I’m an idiot or
Or just another
Dumb trophy wife who’s nice to look at
I’ll play it back one more time
Can’t let it go
Seven’s where I counted down from
To end my embarrassment
No one will remember what you said
That’s what I told myself
Seven’s where I counted down the
Conversation’s long been dead
I wish that I could
Get those seconds back
After a few drinks
It’s hard to gauge the audience I
Can’t tell what you think
I guess that didn’t make any sense
Wish I could take it back now
More than you know
