In early 2017, Playboi Carti scored a breakout hit with his Pi'erre Bourne-produced single “Magnolia,” which earned him a shoutout from JAY-Z, a remix by Lil Wayne, and over 60 million Spotify streams. In July 2-17, Carti unleashed the track’s music video, featuring his trademark butterfly and digitally distorted footage of the Atlanta rapper hanging out on the streets of New York City. Rappers A$AP Rocky, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Don Q, and more all made cameo appearances.
