Janelle Monáe’s most recent album ‘Dirty Computer’ serves as her coming out moment, and one of the songs which plays a major part in the reveal is “PYNK” featuring Grimes. Produced by Wynne Bennett, Nate “Rocket” Wonder, and Chuck Lightning, the track contains lyrics using the color pink for metaphorical themes and anatomical references. To bring “PYNK” to life, Monáe enlisted Emma Westenberg to direct a hazy, pink-filled video incorporating visual innuendos to the female anatomy.
