Dutch singer Willy Albertina Verbrugge is the daughter of Carel Verbrugge better known as schlagersinger Willy Alberti. In 1958 she recorded her first single with her father: 'Zeg Pappie Ik Wilde U Vragen'. In 1965 she released her first solo-album, Willeke.
Willeke became a household name in the Dutch entertainment business and had a string of Top 40 hits.
This performance was recorded live with orchestra during the Gala evening of the Dutch record industry when the Edison awards were given to national and international artists.
