How Genius Home Studio Connected A New Generation of Artists

Genius recently partnered with HP for Genius Home Studio, a multi-part program virtually pairing aspiring and established artists to create and collaborate on an original song using HP laptops.

For the first part of the program, emerging producer Kelley Janáe created an original beat using the Genius Home Studio beat pack, which she then refined on Deconstructed Sessions with hit-making producer Mike WiLL Made-It.

Georgia rapper Cantrell put together the track, “Ice Cold Chilli,” over the beat. He later appeared on our new series, Verified Sessions, to break down his bars with Migos member Offset.

For the song’s music video, director Glassface teamed up with the NaeNae Twins to create a fresh visual treatment. They broke down their creative process in our new series, Framework Sessions.
