TRABI TRAB, der Kultsong zum Fall der Mauer 1989, hier als neuer Winter Mix, „KLING GLÖCKCHEN“ Mix! The „KLING GLÖCKCHEN“ Mix combines the song with a famous Christmas melody. Background: 1989: Berlin Wall, "Berliner Mauer" was opened. At once a lot of people from East Germany were directly travelling through West Germany with their typical cars "Trabant". DRD produced their Trabant Song 1989. The song was played in clubs and radio especially in East Germany. Trabant, called "Trabi" or „Trabbi“, was the most common car in East Germany with more than 3 million units. The production was stopped beginning of the 90s. However they are still clubs in Germany and collectors, i.e. in the US, who are still driving the cars - sometimes for funny motor races.
