This is a ballet version by Penney de Jager on Joe Tex' hit 'Have You Ever'.
Toppop recorded the artists in the studio that had a hit that week. If the artists were unavailable, one of the options was to have Penney de Jager and her ballet perform while the hit was played by tape.
Many of those hits with the artists being unavailable were recorded with Penny doing her ballet routines on TopPop. We received many requests to show one of these clips, that's why we publish this ballet version today.

Penney de Jager (Wilhelmina Maria de Jager (born Utrecht, 2 January 1948) is a Dutch dancer and choreographer that received her training with Rotterdam's Scapino Ballet, and was then hired by the Dutch National Ballet. She achieved national fame when she began dancing and doing choreography for the jazz ballet of the popular television show TopPop (1970–1989).

This song by Joe Tex reached #33 on the top 40 on 17 July 1976. The artist was not availbale to visit the TopPop studio, so Penny performed her show to support the song.
