Special video to share with you all on this 30th release anniversary of "Touch." It's a promo interview with Laura Branigan about the release of her new album "Touch" for CNN Showbiz Today aired on September 9, 1987. This great clip, presented by Lee Leonard, announces the Laura's comeback to music with new material, the entering on the charts of it's first single "Shattered Glass" shows many scenes of it's music video and includes moments of an interview with Laura realized by Cheryl Washington in New York. It highlights the emotion as the essential condition in the choice of it's songs and the intimate relation between singing and acting in her performances. Laura talks about this very important point for her saying "With singing every song you sing is a story. And, in order to have the people feel it, you have to feel it yourself. For me, singing and acting are very instinctive. It's easy for me to let me go in that, when I'm inside of the song or acting." Then, it is recalled that Laura took a time out of music to starred in the Australian movie "Backstage." She recalls her begginings saying "I had gotten a lot of rejections from record companies. I sort of had this big voice, so I didn't really have time to find myself or find out what my sound was." Finally, about how she feels with this new album, she mentions "Now I really think that this album is the first album where I've really come to my own. This is exactly the way I want to sound." Enjoy and share!
