Laura Branigan was always an artist committed to charitable causes and this is an example of the great heart she had.
With the potency of her soulful voice and her warm tenderness that characterizes her, Laura sang live the new single "It's Been Hard Enough Getting Over You", her hit "Solitaire" and finally her signature song "Gloria" during this telethon organized by the Arthritis Foundation to raise funds for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
This benefit show was held on the Ziegfeld Theatre of the Bally's Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, April 17, 1994. Sarah Purcell and Crystal Gayle were the hosts.

Here's the Laura's brief chat with Sarah:

Sarah: That is one powerful song. Congratulations.
Laura: Thank you
Sarah: That's your newest hit, isn't it?
Laura: That's it.
Sarah: You have a very special reason for being here with us today, don't you Laura?
Laura: Yes, I do. My mother had 2 new knees put in. And, had we not had the money from all of you people, we wouldn't have known enough to find the prosthetics, and onward and onward. She would be in a wheelchair today. So, I'll always be here!
Sarah: Thank you, so much. I understand.
Laura: Thank you, Sarah.
Sarah: Wonderful song, I got goose bumps! Thank you, Laura, thank you.
