No Bird Sing - two songs at The Current (2009, 2013)

Eight years ago — Nov. 4, 2013 — No Bird Sing visited The Current to record a session for The Local Show. Fronted by Joe Horton and named for a birdwatching guide spotted at a California bookstore, No Bird Sing are known for their raw, bluesy brand of hip hop.

Since this session, Horton has gone on to forge a successful career as a visual artist and as a composer, enjoying such honors as a residency at MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Art) in 2019 and a featured slot at this year's Twin Cities New Music Festival.

Here are two performances by No Bird Sing, recorded at The Current in 2009 and in 2013.
