In September 2020, Ron Gallo gathered with his bandmates in a studio in Nashville to record performances of four songs exclusively for The Current. Three of the songs are from Gallo's 2021 EP "Peacemeal," and the fourth track — which also appears on "Peacemeal" — is a 2020 rework of a song from Gallo's 2017 album, "Heavy Meta."
