Canadian hard rock band Mindstorm released their debut album in 1987. Standout song "End Of The Line" begins with a Bon Jovi-esque drum and guitar intro, evolving into a hushed Boston-like acoustic guitar section before returning to the A section by way of thundering toms. Their ambitious meld of classic rock balladry and hair metal theatricality, slickly produced by Gary Moffet (April Wine), earned the band comparisons to Led Zeppelin and Whitesnake.
The band lead-off with a hair-metal tune 'See The Future', but its not until 'Live Hard' until they realize their promise - a truly great track, sort of like Helix meeting King Kobra at a Led Zep convention! 'Live To Die' is a return to hard rock form, as is 'One Of Those Days' which reminds us of fellow Canadians Kick Axe.
The band went out to make another album for Capitol/Aquarius called 'Back To Reality'. This was released in 1991, the record deal being terminated the
following year. Mindstorm returned in 1996 for the release of 'Mindstorm III'.
