Twenty-seven years and 20 GRAMMYs later, gospel singer Kirk Franklin reveals that his first GRAMMY will always be the most special due to the circumstances surrounding his win. Three years before that golden moment, Franklin was evicted from his home because he couldn't make rent. "The human attempt to honor and celebrate the labor of individuals in their most vulnerable moments is something that I think is the root focus and the real goal," Franklin says. "And that can always be celebrated."
