The Olsen Brothers brought Denmark their second Eurovision victory in Stockholm with 'Fly on the Wings of Love,' thirty-seven years after the country's first win. Their unforgettable performance featured innovative vocoder effects in the final chorus, and led the voting from start to finish - receiving the third-highest points total in Eurovision history at that time.

Despite a protest from the Russian delegation over the use of vocoder effects in their performance, Denmark retained their victory and the song went on to achieve tremendous success across Europe, and later gained new life as a dance remix by XTM and DJ Chucky, reaching number one in Ireland and becoming a major hit across Europe in the early 2000s.
