She is Swedish but says it's a dream come true to be able to participate in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.
Maria Mathea has had songwriting credits on several Eurovision entries, not least Poland's viral hit "Solo" with Blanka from 2023.
We had a chat with Maria about how a song called "Air" actually focuses on water and how to breathe through a bit of a life crisis to be able to emerge succesfully. And of course we had to know how you go from making a happy summer hit like "Solo" to this more somber entry in Denmark.
