Andrea Bocelli, a highly successful blind opera singer from Italy. He was born with glaucoma and became completely blind at a young age after an unfortunate incident during a soccer game. From an early age, he was captivated by the passion and storytelling of opera and the rich Italian musical traditions. Discovered at the age of 34 by Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli has sold over 75 million records worldwide. Pavarotti once remarked that "there is no voice more beautiful than Bocelli's." He achieved a Top 10 hit in 1998 with his duet "Time To Say Goodbye" alongside Sarah Brightman. This live performance is a duet with Italian singer Gerardina Trovato whi had a hit a year earlier with “Non ho più la mia città”. “Vivere”, composed by Travato was included in her 1994 second album “Non è un film” as well as on Bocelli's debut album “Il Mare Calmo della Ser”. The duetsong “Vivere” with Bocelli was performed live at the Grand Gala du Disc, the annual TV gala of AVRO Television in the Netherlands, on October 7, 1994.
