Knez is one of the most popular artists of his country. He has released ten albums already, which all became bestsellers in the whole region, and he is currently working on his eleventh one. For his 2015 Eurovision Song Contest entry Adio, he teamed up with Serbian star composer Željko Joksimović.

Nenad Knežević Knez was born in a family of musicians in Cetinje, the royal capital of Montenegro. His solo career began in 1992 with a performance at the prestigious Yugoslavian music festival MESAM. His Second album Dan za danom (Day by Day, 1994) brought him some more hits. The third album Automatik from 1996 broke all sales records.

Knez went touring through large halls all over the territory of former Yugoslavia. In 1999, he released a Best Of compilation with 18 greatest hits.
