The Recording Academy won a 2009 Film/Video Silver Telly Award in the cultural category for The GRAMMY Man at the 30th Annual Telly Awards. Produced and directed by Paul Madeira and Scott Petersen, The GRAMMY Man is a short film detailing the work of GRAMMY manufacturer John Billings and the process involved in handcrafting the gramophone statues given to GRAMMY recipients.
