Scorpion and Sub-Zero are two of Mortal Kombat’s most iconic enemies. They’re quite literally fire versus ice. Though they’re obviously meant to be enemies from the start, their entire rivalry has a lot going on under the surface. Thanks to sorcerer Quan-Chi, the pair have spent the Mortal Kombat series fighting it out and trying to one-up each other. This has resulted in reincarnations, resurrections, and all those other crazy things Mortal Kombat is known for. But with a new live-action and R-rated Mortal Kombat movie coming out on January 15th 2021, it’s time to recap the relationship between Sub-Zero and Scorpion and see why these two were doomed to disagree from the start.
