The second installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s rendition of Spider-Man has provided lots of thrills as well as a few surprise reveals. While fans of the Spider-Man comics might have been able to see through the illusions of the classic Spider foe Mysterio, whose history has him trying to both pose as a superhero and frame Peter Parker and Spider-Man for his own crimes, the movie was still able to deliver when it came to twists and thrills.
Of course, removed from the relative comfort and familiarity of Peter Parker’s native Queens, Spider-Man faced a peculiar dilemma in becoming Spider-Man while on his school trip. This would be the second and third time that Spider-Man just happened to turn up where Parker’s class was while Peter just disappeared. For this reason, Parker tried to pass on the opportunity Nick Fury presented him with to join Quentin Beck in fighting off the fake threat of the Elementals. But Nick Fury isn’t someone you say no to, so Fury comes up with a stealth suit to hide the fact that it’s Spider-Man. But he still jumps around and swings from webbing like Spider-Man, something that doesn’t escape the notice of Betty Brant, and her summer romance, Ned Leeds, has to do some quick thinking to throw her off the scent and created the European knock off Spider-Man, Night Monkey. But Betty Brant is a future reporter, so you know she’s going to ask follow up questions. Ned would have to do a lot more quick explaining. Here’s some things you need to know about Night Monkey to convince someone that it’s totally not Spider-Man.
