The Animated Movies That Went Too Far

When most of us think of cartoons, we think of them as being family-friendly and, in most cases, intended for small children, but there are some movies where we can safely say the characters did it at some point. Some of them are shocking because they’re clearly intended for children, like the movie Shrek 2, which raised all sorts of questions about what kind of love exists between a dragon and a donkey, but, sometimes, love stays within the same species like in the Disney movies 101 Dalmatians and Lady and the Tramp. Then, there’s The Road to El Dorado which featured a scene many of us didn’t think much of as kids, but seems extremely explicit in hindsight.
There are even some movies that were clearly never intended for kids including the first x-rated cartoon Fritz the Cat. If you thought Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a suggestive film about animated and non-animated characters, wait until you see the box office flop Cool World. If seeing humans and animals getting it on isn’t enough, don’t worry because we’ll also include movies featuring inanimate objects like The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue and Sausage Party.
We’ve given you a few, but, shockingly, there are many, many more out there. Which seemingly innocuous movie containing a scene where the characters went too far is your favorite?
