If you’ve seen the trailer for the movie Spider-Man: Far From Home, then you know we’re finally getting to see actor Jake Gyllenhaal enter the MCU! We’ve been teased about this for a long time and it’s exciting to see Quentin Beck show up after all of this time. It’s about time our little Peter Parker grew up and got his first real nemesis!
But the trailer definitely threw us off because Mysterio was being presented as a hero instead of a bad guy. Could the multiverse explain this or was this all part of an elaborate ruse? That may seem like the most obvious solution, but it could also be a case of classic Marvel movie misdirection. We haven’t seen Nick Fury on the modern MCU timeline in a big way for quite some time, but don’t cheer quite yet. Is it possible SHIELD could be back in action and behind the true villain of the movie? With heroes like Tony Stark and Captain Marvel gone, our planet is more vulnerable than ever and Peter might be in way over his head.
What do you think about the possibility that there’s an even more dangerous evildoer at work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
