If you are a fan of Thor, we have one question for you. Are you worthy of Thor’s mighty hammer? We think you most certainly are! But the real test comes in the knowing. Think you know what secret lie behind the Thunder God’s mystical weapon? Let’s take a look at what Mjolnir so powerful.
Did you know that there was actually a sentient being trapped inside of the hammer? The God Tempest brought a massive storm into Asgard and Odin trapped him in a mystical metal called Uru. He had the dwarves turn the metal into a weapon and the Mjolnir was born. So technically the Mjolnir was alive at one point, even dragging Odin across the galaxy when the god tried to control it. Odin the placed the worthiness enchantment on it.
The hammer has of course been wielded by Thor who is so obviously worthy. But did you know that several have been worthy also? Yup, in alternative storylines, Rouge earns the ability to control the hammer. Magneto is able to manipulate the air around it, because it is after all metal, in the Ultimate universe. Our favorite merc with the mouth, Deadpool, even had a chance to wreak some havoc with it. Even in some crossover stories, Superman and Wonder Woman have earned the ability to wield Mjolnir. At one point however, even Thor becomes unworthy and loses the power to wield the weapon. Oh, how you may ask? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
