With Despicable Me 3 coming out soon, here are 10 Lies You Were Told About Minions! Subscribe to our channel: goo.gl/wMuSDD
Despicable Me 3 is just around the corner, with Gru and his minions returning to the big screen for another fun and wacky adventure! This time around, Gru’s long lost brother brother Bru is in on the action and a new supervillain, former child star Balthazar Bratt, is on the scene. With the release of a new Despicable film, which sees the return of Steve Carell as Gru, we’ll naturally be getting more funny and unusual moments with our favorite yellow sidekicks, the Minions! These guys are literally everywhere these days, all over promotional materials that are impossible to miss. But despite their popularity, there are some common misconceptions about the minions. For instance, did you know that the minions are actually voiced by one guy? Co-director Pierre Coffin has voiced 899 different Minions so far! How about that poster for Despicable Me 2? Can you guess how many individual minions were seen on that teaser poster? Over 10 000 models! Try playing where’s Waldo on that poster. Purple minions actually came into existence thanks to none other than Tweety Bird at the Looney Tunes and simple respect for the color scheme. And where did the minions even come from? Like most things, they were inspired by something that came before them. In this case, the Jawas from Star Wars and the Oompa Loompas from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory were prime sources of inspiration! Even more surprisingly, the Minions could actually be found in seven different short films as well as some video games so if you need to watch the Minions in action, you don’t per say have to watch one of the feature films.
